Hack

So the blog was hacked a few days ago and I’ve just spent the better part of my evening reinstalling everything.  Hopefully it’s secure because I don’t really want to go through this again.  It’s not 100% back to normal but it’s good enough to turn back on to visitors.

There hasn’t been much to report about lately.  I’m still struggling to find motivation to get back on the wagon.  I stopped blogging about my lack of motivation which let to me not blogging at all.  I’m going to work on that and once again try to get back on track.  blah.

Losing Biggest

So I’m doing the Biggest Loser thing again at my local gym…  this time around I’m pretty determined to win and take home the prize of a free years membership.  My ultimate goal, of course, is to lose weight…  but winning still rules!

Last night we had our first meeting and there were about 15 or so people there.  Some of them I knew from the last time I did this, some of them were new.  There are also two brand new trainers who will be working with us  and I’m hoping that this time the trainers will be more involved and that we’ll get some real advice on how we can exercise better.  The last time it was pretty loose… we met once a week to workout and that was about it.  I need more structure in my exercise program and made sure to bring that up as we discussed the program.

One of the new trainers tried to bribe me into coming to her spin class this morning at 9:15…  when I said that it wasn’t for me and the bikes don’t agree with me she replied, “you can use the recumbent and there are lots of pretty girls there”, ha!  stupid me replied, “How did you know I like pretty girls?”.  Anyhow, I may got to one of her classes soon to check it out, and of course the pretty girls.

All joking aside…  I’m looking forward to another twelve weeks of committing myself to this challenge…  It really helped me to stay focused last time around and I had a lot of fun doing it.  They’re even planning the next go-around scheduled for September’ish and I’m sure I’ll be doing that one as well.

All Within My Hands

It’s no secret that I’ve been off of my game lately, I don’t really know what caused this to happen but as time went on things seemed to spiral out of control and a mild depression set in.  Lack of motivation has been a huge issue for me.  Sometimes I don’t really know why I’m doing all of this… sure, losing weight is great, and that should be enough motivation all by itself, but sometimes it’s not. I need to work on this.

For the past couple of weeks I have focused on getting back on track.  I’ve gone back to counting calories. I’m back to listening to audiobooks on the treadmill.  I’m back to doing my morning walks up at the lake. This is how I lost the majority of my 75lbs to date and I’m hoping that by going back to basics, things will start moving again.

At the end of the day, the power to lose weight is up to me to do the work.  I just need to want it bad enough.

I’m curious to know how others stay motivated, do you have any advice you can pass my way?

A month off from weighing and a .6lb gain.  I’m okay with it though… I needed a break but the time has come to get back on track and start kicking some ass.  On June 29th I’ll be starting another Biggest Loser competition at my gym and I’m going to work hard to win this time around.  I had a lot of fun doing it last time but I fully admit to not giving it my all, I came in second last time, which I’m happy with, but I could have won if I had tried just a little harder.  That will not be the case this time around.  I’m in it to win it!

Short post today…  I haz work to do.
